I am one of the two charier people. In the past, I was a marketing professional for 10 years. My true passion has always been cooking and upon. I realized that my passion of cooking exceeded my current career in marketing. By hosting dinner parties and cooking for friends and family regularly, I realized that I needed to follow this passion and turn this into my career. Living in Istanbul, Turkey at the time, I decided to take the leap and make a change. I moved to Canada and enrolled in the Culinary Management Program at George Brown College. In the beginning it was a challenge to make the change from high heels to chef shoes, but I survived!
Through this adventure, I have worked in several restaurants in various positions such as El Catrin, Mercatto, 7 Enoteca, Capocaccia, Vertical, Oretta. Most recently, I was managing ‘Anatolia', one of the longest running Turkish Restaurants in Toronto. After my time there I decided to continue on my journey on my own and created LokumEats, where I showcase Turkish/Ottoman cuisine as well as my take on international cuisines. I owe a huge thank you to my mom mom who was an amazing cook and passed on many family recipes that had been in my family for centuries. Both my grandmothers were also superior cooks and we have always for generations but pride in our cooking.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions, we are not able to organize a cooking class right now.

Maybe you just want to gather with your friends and have fun. Lokum Eats can organize a cooking class at your home’s convenience. Up to 6 people we are offering cooking lessons in your home. We provide with all the ingredients and essential tools.

Manti, known as Turkish Dumplings, is a popular dish in Turkish cuisine. These tiny, labour intensive beef filled dumplings are mini pockets of hapiness. When manti meets with yogurt, butter and spices, the combination is heavenly.

Lokum Eats is offering you a private dining experience where you feel comfortable and special. This could be your own house as well as a venue that would be offered by you based on your desire. We can also help you with a venue if you would have such a request.
We prefer to limit the number of people that we cater to be able to engage with each guest and be able to involve them in a cooking experience if they prefer. Therefore we would prefer guests between min 2 to max 20.
